Writer. Editor. Podcast Host. Content Strategist.
I’ve spent the better part of a decade making complex technology understandable, helping blockchain ecosystems tell their stories, and connecting the people building emerging technologies with the audiences they want to reach.
Since entering the blockchain industry in 2018, I’ve written more than 2,000 articles, hosted more than 170 podcast episodes, led editorial operations, developed multimedia content strategies, and participated in initiatives spanning ecosystem growth, governance, developer engagement, and public policy.
My approach has remained consistent: provide factual, non-sensational information that helps people understand why technology matters.
But my career didn’t begin in blockchain.
From Urban Planning to Blockchain
Before entering crypto, I spent more than five years working in urban and transportation planning.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver, I worked with organizations including the Colorado Department of Transportation, FEMA, Caltrans, and Jefferson County.
I advocated for improved transportation networks, better infrastructure, and projects that could meaningfully improve people’s lives.
Over time, I grew frustrated with the pace of traditional planning processes and became increasingly interested in how emerging technologies could address institutional inefficiencies.
In 2017, I discovered Bitcoin and blockchain.
What initially began as an interest in a new financial system evolved into a broader fascination with decentralized infrastructure and its potential applications.
By October 2018, I’d left my government career to pursue blockchain journalism full-time.

Editorial Leadership and Blockchain Journalism
Neo News Today | 2018–Present
I began contributing to Neo News Today in January 2018 and subsequently became its editor, helping coordinate coverage of one of the industry’s established smart-contract ecosystems.
Over the years, my responsibilities have extended well beyond writing.
I’ve helped determine editorial priorities, edited and approved contributors’ work, managed publishing schedules, coordinated reporting across team members, and developed processes to maintain consistent coverage.
My personal body of work now exceeds 2,000 articles, spanning technical developments, ecosystem strategy, decentralized applications, governance, and market developments.
I’ve also worked closely with developers, founders, and ecosystem leaders to understand the challenges they’re facing and communicate their work to broader audiences.
Throughout this experience, I’ve maintained a belief that good journalism should educate readers without relying on sensationalism or manufactured excitement.

Building a Multimedia Content Platform
The Smart Economy Podcast | 2022–Present
In 2022, I launched The Smart Economy Podcast to explore the people, technologies, and ideas shaping decentralized economies.
Through more than 170 episodes, I’ve interviewed founders, developers, researchers, executives, and institutional blockchain leaders about everything from decentralized finance and digital identity to infrastructure, payments, and tokenization.
As the show evolved, so did our approach to content production.
Working with our production team, I helped guide the transition from audio-only interviews to a video-first format, supported the development of a repeatable short-form content workflow, and provided editorial direction for distributing interviews across multiple platforms.
That work expanded the podcast from a long-form interview series into a broader content operation incorporating video clips, articles, social media, and live discussions.
It also reinforced one of my strongest convictions about communications: a compelling story needs more than a single format to reach its audience.

Strategy, Community, and Ecosystem Development
My involvement in blockchain has never been limited to reporting on what other people build.
I’ve actively participated in the communities, strategic discussions, and initiatives shaping the industry.
In 2018, I founded Neo Colorado, a local community initiative that organized meetups, developer workshops, and educational events. In 2019 alone, we hosted 14 events connecting developers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain enthusiasts.
I’ve participated in Neo ecosystem governance, served as a voting member of the GrantShares community funding DAO, and helped teams navigate funding proposals.
I’ve also contributed to strategic discussions with blockchain leadership.
At the 2023 Neo Community Assembly in Hong Kong, I presented a proposal advocating for stablecoins and real-world assets as ecosystem priorities. Drawing on research and conversations with institutional blockchain builders, I helped build support among attendees for placing stablecoins among the ecosystem’s strategic priorities.
Beyond Neo News Today, I’ve worked in ecosystem growth at COZ, supporting community engagement and initiatives connecting blockchain infrastructure with real-world applications.
These experiences have given me an understanding of communications that extends beyond publishing content: how to identify opportunities, build consensus, coordinate stakeholders, and translate ideas into initiatives.

Speaking, Advocacy, and Industry Engagement
I’ve represented blockchain organizations at conferences, developer events, universities, and policy discussions around the world.
My work has taken me to industry events including Consensus, TOKEN2049, ETHDenver, Binance Blockchain Week, and numerous regional blockchain conferences.
In 2022, I participated in a Web3 university tour spanning eight institutions, including the University of Michigan, Northwestern, UCLA, Stanford, and UC Berkeley, where we introduced students to opportunities within the blockchain industry.
I’ve also advocated for clearer cryptocurrency regulation.
In December 2023, I traveled to Washington, D.C., alongside Colorado blockchain founders and industry participants as part of a Stand With Crypto advocacy initiative. We met with elected officials to discuss regulatory clarity and the opportunities presented by blockchain technology.
I’ve participated in hackathons as a judge, moderated technical discussions, spoken on conference panels, and helped connect developers with resources and opportunities.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate with audiences ranging from technical builders and industry executives to policymakers and people encountering blockchain for the first time.

What Drives Me
I entered blockchain because I believed decentralized technology could meaningfully change how people and institutions interact.
Nearly a decade later, I still believe that.
But I’ve also become convinced that the industry has a storytelling problem.
Blockchain’s most meaningful benefits are often buried beneath technical language, financial speculation, and promises that are difficult for ordinary people to evaluate.
I want to help change that.
My work focuses on understanding what makes a technology useful, identifying the story worth telling, and communicating it clearly and honestly.
Whether I’m developing a content strategy, editing an article, interviewing a founder, or advising on ecosystem priorities, the goal is the same:
Make complex ideas understandable, make important stories impossible to ignore, and give people a reason to care.
